PURPOSE: This exhibition of posters chosen from throughout the world is intended to provide a review of the current state of international poster design. ORGANIZED BY: China Academy of Art NAME: The 1st CHINA INTERNATIONAL POSTER BIENNIAL ( CIPB ) 2003 PARTICIPATION: Professional designers and design groups all of the world. EXHIBITION: October 2003 DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION OF POSTERS: July 31st 2003, extended to August 31, 2003 SERIES: A. Cultural posters. B. Public campaign posters. C. Commercial posters. RULES: A:The 1ST CIPB 2003 will exhibit works of individual designers, design groups and art agencies. B:All posters must be printed after 2000 .All posters must be finished works of offset or silk-screen printing. Single printed copies (ink- jet, plotter) and students , degree works do not qualify for all categories. C:Size of work : minimum 36.4cm x51.5cm(14.3inch x 20.3inch) and maximum120.0cm x 180.0cm(70.9inch x 47.3 inch). D:The participants should be requested to fill in an label in block letters or type-written. A copy of the label must be fixed with adhesive tape to the lower-right corner on the reverse of each poster. E:Entry forms must be enclosed in a sealed envelope along with the posters. The participants should be requested to fill in an entry form in block letters or type-written.An illegible entry form will cause disqualification of the entry. The personal detail given on the form will serves later as valuable information in the 1ST CIPB 2003 catalogue The entry form should be signed by the participant. F:The Organizers have the right to modify the classify of posters. G:There is no number restriction of entry submission. We can also accept the series work. H:The entries are not returnable. I:Each work in duplicate, but mounting is not required. J:Works in electronic file. Along with the hard copy, please send document in electronic file recorded on CD-ROM. CDs should operate on Mac OS or platform. File Technical Specification: document size:21.0cm x 29.7cm, resolution:300dpi, file type: only accept TIFF(CMYK images) format. K:The works should be packed in a safe and practical manner to avoid any damage during transport. The organizers do not take responsibility for damages sustained in transport. L:The posters must be sent as printed matter of a non-commercial value statement. Please do not include the price of your submission on the postal declaration or invoice, as this complicates the delivery procedure: the organizers will not undertake any customs clearance and the parcel will be sent back. M:Judges, their family partners and their business partners cannot participate in the competition. Postage must be paid by the address. Each of the participants for the exhibition will receive the certificate.
