Student poster competition for polish film festival in Texas

Received from Mary Gawron

The Austin Polish Society (APS) is sponsoring a student poster design competition this year. The winning poster design will serve as the official event poster for the 5th Austin Polish Film Festival (APPF), being held from November 4-7, 2010.

This is the first time that APS is sponsoring a student poster design competition. The text below serves as the guidelines for the competition. The award is $500 - a small amount, but we are a non-profit organization and will widely promote the winning poster here in Texas and through our film festival partners in the USA and Canada. The competition guidelines were prepared with assistance from Leszek Zebrowski, an artist and professor in Szczecin, Poland, who has designed three of the previous festival posters ( www.austinpolishsociety.org ), has had three poster exhibits in Austin, Texas, including the SWSX 2010 Poster Exhibit- Flatstock 24. Mr. Zebrowski has also been a guest at previous Polish film festivals in Austin.
