STATUTE 7th Triennial
The aim of the Triennial is to present the most noteworthy achievements of artists all over the world, working in the field of poster devoted to the various performing arts: drama theatre, opera, ballet, operetta, musical, circus, puppet theatre, pantomime, concerts, festivals, variety shows, etc.
The Seventh International Triennial of Stage Poster will be held in September–October 2013 at the National Exhibition Centre of Modern Art – Union of Bulgarian Artists, Sofia, 6 Shipka St.
Terms of participation:
Posters created in the period May 13, 2010 – May 13, 2013 are eligible for the Triennial.
Categories
1. Printed posters for drama theatre, opera, ballet, operetta, musical, circus, puppet theatre, pantomime, concerts, festivals, variety shows, etc.
2. Posters dedicated to individual works or inspired by the oeuvre of the great composers and past masters of the art of opera –
GIUSEPPE VERDI, Italy (1813 – 1901)
and/or
RICHARD WAGNER, Germany (1813 – 1883)
on the occasion of the 200th anniversary of their birth.
In Category 2 can participate printed stage posters or originals created especially for the occasion.
No compulsory text.
Format:
Minimum format ?2 (420 ? 594 mm)
Number of posters to be submitted:
Each artist may submit up to 4 posters, accompanied by CD (size A5, format .ai, .eps, .tif, .pdf, at 300 dpi resolution, CMYK) with their digital images, a completed participation form and a short CV.
The posters in Category 1 should be submitted in two copies.
Submission deadline: May 13, 2013.
There is no fee for participation.

Jury
A National Selection Jury will select the collection of the Seventh Triennial.
The results of the selection will be announced in the end of May 2013.
An International Jury with members:
PETER POCS – Hungary,
TOMASZ BOGUSLAWSKI – Poland,
JIANPING HE – Germany/China,
will award the prizes immediately before the Triennial’s opening.
The prize winners will be announced at an official ceremony on September 30, 2013.
Awards
GRAND PRIX – statuette GOLDEN POSTER
TWO EQUIVALENT PRIZES – a bronze plaque (for each of the two categories)
PRIZE FOR YOUNG AUTHOR (not older than 35) – a bronze plaque in memory of the eminent Bulgarian artist Assen Stareyshinski.

Every participant should send their posters properly packed for transportation, without frames or passe-partout, and labelled Printed Matter. No commercial value.
The organizers bear no responsibility for any damages incurred during transportation.
The posters remain as property of the Triennial’s Fund after the closure of the exhibition.
The organizers may photograph and reproduce the posters free of charge for the needs of all printed materials of the Triennial and the publications related to it.
The organizers reserve the right to reject any work which is not in compliance with the statute of the Triennial, violates moral standards, or offends national or religious sensibilities.
Catalogue
A colour catalogue of the Seventh International Triennial of Stage Poster – Sofia 2013 will be published, including all the works accepted by the Selection Jury.
All participants in the Triennial will receive a free copy of the catalogue, paying only for the postage.
