PURPOSE
This exhibition of posters chosen from throughout the world is intended to provide a review of the current state of international poster design.

ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS
All entries must be the work of the entrant.
Entries should be no smaller than 36.4 cm ×51.5 cm (14.3 inches×20.3 inches) and no larger than 180.0 cm ×120.0 cm (70.9 inches×47.3 inches), and must fall into one of the following two categories:
( A ) Printed and published posters on or after January 1, 2012
( B ) Original self-produced and unpublished posters
B-1 Unpublished poster on the theme of “LIFE”
B-2 Unpublished poster on a theme of the artist’s choosing
(Entries for category B, the poster must contain the credit line “IPT2015”.)

NUMBERS OF ENTRIES
No more than three per an artist or a group in each category.
A single set of up to three posters may be submitted as a single work.
However, prizes may be awarded on a partial basis to one or two of the posters in a set.

SCREENING
The National Jury will select posters to be displayed in the exhibition.
The International Jury will award prizes.
National Jury:
Kazumasa NAGAI, Mitsuo KATSUI, Shin MATSUNAGA, Katsumi ASABA, Koichi SATO, Osamu FUKUSHIMA, Rikako NAGASHIMA, Shoji KATAGISHI
International Jury:
Philippe APELOIG (France), Jianping HE (Germany), Mitsuo KATSUI (Japan), Katsumi ASABA (Japan)

PRIZE
The following prizes will be awarded to winners:
Grand-Prix:1,000,000 yen×1(one prize from the A/B categories)
Gold Prize:500,000 yen×2(two prizes from the A/B categories)
Silver Prize:300,000 yen×3(three prizes from the A/B categories)
Bronze Prize:100,000 yen×10(ten prizes from the A/B categories)
The 6th Yusaku Kamekura International Design Award:500,000 yen×1
This award, established by the Japan Graphic Designers Association Inc., will go to one winner from the A/B categories.The winner will receive a certificate and 500,000 yen prize.

ENTRY RULES

  1. The entry form and label for each poster must be filled in legibly in block letters.
    The label should be pasted at the top right-hand corner of the reverse side of the poster.
  2. For the understanding of the international jury, an English translation of the poster title must be included on the entry form.
  3. Information submitted on the entry form will be used in the 11th IPT 2015 catalog.
  4. The entry form must be sent with the poster entry.
  5. By entering the contest, entrants understand and agree that the IPT organizer has the right to photograph or reproduce the image of the entries for (non-commercial) promotional purposes including media reports, publicity, and contest records, as well as for sharing via websites and other social media.
  6. The entries are not returnable.
  7. Entrants whose works pass the National Jury screening are kindly requested to donate these works to the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art, Toyama.
  8. Entries should not be framed but must be carefully packed for mailing. Please label the package "PRINTED MATTER, NO COMMERCIAL VALUE".
  9. The organizer will not be held responsible for entries that are lost or damaged in transit.
  10. Postage and all other incidental expenses are to be defrayed by entrants.
  11. Entrants will be informed directly if their entry is selected for exhibition or awarded a prize.
    The results of the National Jury screening will be announced in early July 2015, and prize recipients will be announced in mid-September.
  12. In the case that a poster is believed to infringe upon the copyright of another individual or group, the organizing committee and the organizer reserve the right to remove the poster from exhibition and retract any prize awarded even after notification has been made.
