TERMS OF PARTICIPATION
• Posters and projects created in 2014-2016 are admitted to the contest.
• Participation in all contests is free of charge.
• Works in all categories (except for special cases) should be first submitted as digital files. Size: 30 cm on the larger side, 72 dpi, JPG, RGB color model.
• Designers of the entries that pass the Pre-Selection Juries will be informed by e-mail.
• Files for print or printed copies of selected works must be sent by post. Postal address will be sent by e-mail personally to those participants whose works have been selected by Pre-Selection Juries.
• All submitted works remain in the Golden Bee Fund and in collections of partners and are not to be returned. Organizers have the right to exhibit and publish biennale works for non-commercial purposes. Participants must sign the entry form, which indicates his/her agreement with the terms and conditions of the contest.
ENTRY CATEGORIES
(1) POSTERS
Posters of any types and genres created in 2014-2016. Golden Bee key project. Selection criteria: exceptional design skills, cultural identity, ethical correctness, semantic and emotional fullness, genre and stylistic innovation, fresh visual language, expansion of professional boundaries.
(2) DIGITAL DESIGN
Posters and other graphic design projects with computers as collaborators. From glitch to technical perfection.
(3) HANDMADE DESIGN
Posters and other graphic design projects created by hand.
(4) PIONEERS OF RUSSIAN DESIGN
Posters dedicated to the Pioneers of Russian Design. NB: 2015 marks the 130th anniversary of Vladimir Tatlin and Alexey Gan, the 125th anniversary of El Lissitzky and Konstantin Melnikov, the 120th anniversary of Gustav Klucis and the 100th anniversary of the "Black Square" by Kazimir Malevich, and 2016 brings the 125th anniversary of Alexander Rodchenko.
(5) CHERNOBYL 30, FUKUSHIMA 5
Posters marking anniversaries of Chernobyl and Fukushima disasters. In partnership with the 4th Block International Triennale of Eco Posters in Kharkiv
(6) CRIME AND PUNISHMENT
Posters marking the 150th anniversary of Fyodor Dostoyevsky’s novel «Crime and Punishment» and his other writings. In partnership with Strelka Biennale of Design in Nizhny Novgorod
(7) DANTE 750
Posters commemorating the 750th anniversary of Dante's birth.
(8) MERCY
Mercy and forgiveness themed posters. 2016 – Holy Year of Mercy.
ALL GOLD OF THE WORLD 2014-2016. Golden Bee Special Project
Exhibition/contest of posters that won awards in 2012-2014 at the most important international competitions, such as: International Socio-Political Poster Biennale in Auschwitz, International Biennale of Graphic Design in Brno, International Poster Festival in Chaumont, Colorado International Invitational Poster Exhibition in Fort Collins, China International Poster Biennial in Hangzhou, 4th Block International Triennale of Eco Posters in Kharkiv, Lahti International Poster Triennial, International Poster Biennial in Mexico, International Biennale of Theatre Posters in Rzeszow, International Poster Triennial in Toyama, International Poster Biennale in Warsaw, Bolivia Poster Biennale, Trnava Poster Triennial, etc.
