Poster with a hole by Kuba Sowinski 2. Doroczna Wystawa Prac STGU

4.6. - 30.6.2006
Institut Wzornictwa Przemyslowego
ul. Swietojerska 5/7, Warsaw, Poland

The Stowarzyszenie Tworcow Grafiki Uzytkowej (STGU) is an association of about 50 young, active polish graphic designers, mostly born in the 1970s. Many of them design posters but also magazines, logos, identities, are art directors or illustrators. Their recent exhibition was one of the accompanying events of the 20. International Poster Biennial in Warsaw, Poland.

The hole in the poster at left shows a random selection of the poster beneath it, in this case it was Michal Ksiazek's poster for an exhibition of japanese posters in Zabki.

Here are some pictures from the opening:

Jerzy Skakun in front of the posters he made with his wife Joanna Gorska

Malgorzata Gurowska in front of her 6 posters

Jakub Stepien "Hakobo" (right) in front of one of his poster series

Magda Malczynska-Umeda and Ela Skrzypek (Studio Bakalie) in front of their latest poster
