Stanislaw Wyspianski (1869 - 1907) was a famous polish playwright whose best known play "Wesele" (The wedding) has been treated in posters by Henryk Tomaszewski, Jan Lenica, Jan Mlodozeniec, Waldemar Swierzy, Maciej Urbaniec, Get Stankiewicz and others. Andrzej Wajda made a movie about the play in 1973.

Wyspianski was also an artist, and designed one of the earliest polish theater posters "Wnetrze" (The interior) in 1898. Finally, he painted the stained-glass windows in the Franciscan Church in Cracow, Poland, only a five minute walk from Krzysztof Dydo's Poster Gallery. Dydo also curated the exhibition.

Piotr Kunce is a poster designer and professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow.
