Amirali Ghasemi, Graphic Designer / Media Artist / Curator, after ten years, shows some of the unseen
posters/graphics including webs design and motion graphics he made for
Iranian rock bands in Azad Gallery. He also exhibits 80% of the photos of
his photo-blogs "Live from the IRIS" and amiralionly says
which he has been running since past 4 years, along with 2 interactive works
which were not previously exhibited in Iran.
Amirali Ghasemi was born in Tehran on August 20, 1980.
He graduated in 2004 with a BA in graphic design from Central Tehran Azad
University, with research and emphasis on digital art history.
In the summer of 1998,Ghasemi established Parkingallery, an independent
project space in Tehran, and in 2002, Parkingallery.com,
a virtual gallery, which has become an online platform for many young
Iranian artists. He has shown his photography/videos/design works in Sweden,
Netherlands, France, Austria, Belgium, Italy, Germany, Canada, USA,
Australia, Turkey, Indonesia, South Korea, China, Taiwan and Japan. In
addition, he has directed many audiovisual projects with Iranian rock bands.
As a curator, he has directed many exhibition projects for Parkingallery
project space and few exhibitions as guest curator.
Among them: *Deep Depression *(2004) *Transition *(2005),* Deeper Depression
* (2006), *Lost in no space* (2006) and *Limited access* (2007).
He is currently the art director of Parkingallery and a freelance
photographer for various magazines, and is busy with his video installations
and interactive projects like Tehran remixed, and writing about the Tehran arts
scene and Iranian contemporary art in his web-log.
In the spring of 2007 he Co-Founded the Tehran base initiative
ARSEH to facilitate cultural exchange between
Tehran and and other art scenes.
Member of IGDS (Iranian Graphic Designers Society) since 2003.
Member of Public relation society of Iran, since 2006.
