Putting up posters posters all over the city on any flat surface that will hold them (also called flyposting, wild posting, wheatpasting ..) is not allowed in Geneva, Switzerland, although the activity has a great tradition, and these posters have been called the perfume of the city. So the true supporters of culture in Geneva celebrate the day it was outlawed, March 1, 2007, with eating, drinking and, well, a little wildposting. Find out how you can participate from their blog Affiche sauvage : "Le 1er mars 2007, une nouvelle loi est inscrite à Genève qui criminalise la pose d'affiches sauvages, réduisant ainsi considérablement la diffusion d'information pour une multitude d'événements socio-culturels. Pour "fêter" cet anniversaire, AFFICHE SAUVAGE vous invite à participer à une Journée AFFICHE SAUVAGE! Rendez-vous dès 11h (11h-13h), le samedi 6 mars, 2010 à l'atelier de Carmen Bayenet pour un brunch d'anniversaire!
