The exhibition is based on an annual competition staged by the association 100 Beste Plakate e.V., which has enjoyed an established cross-border position for ten years now.

Over the course of its more than 100-year history, the medium has established itself as a constant in the visual culture of the modern age, and even today maintains its position in the public look of our cities. Yet posters are not only anchored in our everyday lives, they also represent an attractive object of desire in the world of private collectors, as well as a multifaceted social artifact in museums.
