As we enter the home stretch of the 2012 Presidential elections, plutocracy's merchants are gleefully ramping up their game in anticipation, believing that they have blindsided the American populace once again.
As you well know, I am not one to let greed and woeful irresponsibility have its way without a fight. Design is my weapon and daily over the next few days (the series started on 2012.10.28) I would like to share some commentaries with you, which you should feel free to share with anyone else. I will begin this weekend with the blunder-bussing nonsense that a country is best run as a business. Make no mistake, today's Republicans will take the shirt of your back, given the chance. 3 Just a few points of cultural, contextual clarification for those outside of the USA: • The elephant and donkey are symbols of the Republican and Democratic and parties in America. • GOP is an abbreviation for Grand Old Party (the Republican Party). • Citizens United refers to the disastrous 2010 landmark decision by the U.S. Supreme Court that permitted corporations to spend freely to influence American elections. 7 The Salt Lake Tribune's endorsement of Obama: "The Salt Lake Tribune, the largest newspaper in Utah, endorsed President Obama for re-election rather than the first Mormon presidential nominee, Mitt Romney. In an editorial entitled "Too Many Mitts," the paper castigated Romney for his frequent reinventions and changes of position: From his embrace of the party’s radical right wing, to subsequent portrayals of himself as a moderate champion of the middle class, Romney has raised the most frequently asked question of the campaign: "Who is this guy, really, and what in the world does he truly believe?" |

9 As the Super PAC's millions of dollars of persuasion inundate the airwaves these last few days of campaigning, Citizens United needs to be repealed in the future, if we believe we have a future. President Obama is the only real hope we have of changing the balance of the Supreme Court Justices. |
