/ABOUT THE ARTIST/
Sandy Karman is a Jakarta-based graphic designer and poster artist. Born in 1983 and graduated from Visual Communication Design- Institut Teknologi Bandung. He has worked for Total Design Amsterdam, Leo Burnett and OgilvyOne Jakarta before becoming an independent graphic designer. While working on commercial and cultural commissions, he shifted his focus to designing and producing poster art for international biennials, triennials and exhibitions, being the first Indonesian whose poster design have been shown in the prestigious international museums: The Museum of Modern Art Japan, The Poster Museum Poland and The Poster Museum Finland. His works have been exhibited in various graphic design festivals worldwide. These include International Poster Triennial in Toyama Japan, Japan; International Poster Biennial Warsaw, Poland; The Global Biennale of Graphic Design, Moscow, The Lahti International Poster Biennial Lahti, Finland, Shanghai Visual. Design Biennial, Asia Graphic Design Triennial.
