Tomasz Kipka
Tomasz Kipka was born in Tarnowskie Gory (Poland), on 25 October, 1976 and lives in Radzionkow.

He graduated from the Art Institute of University of Silesia in Cieszyn (diploma with honours in 2001). In January 2007 he got doctor’s degree (artistic PhD). He works as an assistant professor (adjunct professor) in the Department of Graphic Design, Faculty of Arts at the Silesian University in Cieszyn. He practices graphic design. It works especially on the posters, corporate identity and graphics publishing. Participates in exhibitions in Poland and abroad, including in Bolivia, China, Czech Republic, Finland, France, Netherlands, Hong Kong, Iran, Japan, South Korea, Lithuania, Russia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Taiwan and Ukraine. He won awards and honors, including: ICOGRADA Excellent Award (Taiwan 2007), Grand Prix of Triennial ECOPLAGAT (Slovakia 2008), 1st place of SLASKA RZECZ 2010 (competition for the design and product, Poland 2011), The 4th Fadjr International Festival of Visual Arts w Teheranie, poster category (Iran 2012), two distinctions in Taipei International Design Award (Taiwan 2013), honorable mention at the Biennale of Polish Poster (Poland 2013), and awards in contests for logos and corporate identity. Since 2005, organizes the eco-poster exhibitions, involving professors, graduates and students of the Institute of Art, University of Silesia. Since 2009, organizes exhibitions of graphic design and poster at the “Jazz in the Ruins” International Festival in Gliwice.
