On 1 October at 12:00, the Brukenthal Palace will take place opening of the exhibition entitled "War in Polish poster". Krzysztof Dydo Collection. The exhibition is organized in collaboration with the Polish Institute in Bucharest and presents posters from the period 1939 - 2014. The exhibition, divided into two segments, comprising posters dedicated to the years 1939-1945 are presented times such as the outbreak of war, the Katyn massacre, concentration camps , Warsaw Ghetto Uprising and the Warsaw insurrection. The second segment includes posters from the period 1955-2014 that match the moments dedicated to defending peace, international conflicts and various forms of contemporary terrorism. The works belong to Polish artists from different generations, members of the School of Poster Polish, among them being Henryk Tomaszewski, Tadeusz Trepkowski, Andrzej Pawlowski, Maciej Urbaniec, Marian Nowinski, Jan Sawka, Rafal Olbinski, Janusz Stanny, Tomasz Boguslawski, Franciszek Starowieyski or Sebastian Kubica. The exhibition selected from over 20,000 posters in the private collection of Mr. Krzysztof Dydo, co-founder of Poster Gallery in Krakow that was presented in over 350 exhibitions worldwide and is open until 31 October 2015.
