"My passion for graphic design comes from the fact that it communicates without words. It is not quite obvious today. It seems that contemporary art cannot do without an oral or a written philosophical message. It is this message that often carries the main concept of an artpiece. Its visual form is just a supplement which alone can be appreciated only by the artist himself. Graphic design, however, must be understood without any words. A poster on a wall, in a gallery or in the Internet must strike the viewer with a bright and clever idea, which at the same time must not be too banal or too intricate. These are the rules I try to follow in my work." (Irek Kuriata)
