Last year, publishing house GraphicDesign& conducted an extensive survey among about 2000 designers in the US and the UK about what it’s like to work in graphic design today. Their findings have now been published in a book and a few of them are shown on a website. For example
- 78% said they work more hours than they are paid for
- Pantone Orange 021 is their favorite color
- 25% said "coding" would be the most usefull skill they would like to learn
- 90% said "Yes" to the question "Have you ever been asked 'to make it bigger' ?"
- 54% earned less than GBP 30k / USD 45k
