The following information is based on an article that appeared in the Chaumont daily l'affranchi on March 4, 2016 under the heading (translated from french) The new "Mr. Graphic Design" wants to have the budget for the CIG doubled.
Replacing Etienne Hervy, the graphic designer Vincent Perrottet faces three main tasks: Organizing the opening exhibition of the new International Center of Graphic Design (CIG), improve its financial situation, and organize the next poster festival in 2017.

Vincent Perrottet, b. 1958 in Saint-Denis (FR), is a well known graphic designer in France and was a member of the Grapus collective from 1983 until it dissolved in 1989. He was co-director of the Chaumont festival, together with Pierre Bernard and Alex Jordan from 2002 until 2009.

He plans to open the newly built International Center of Graphic Design with an exhibition in October 2016 of 300 to 500 posters from the city's collection, and to resume the annual Chaumont poster festival in 2017 with the help of members of the Alliance graphique internationale AGI.

As his term is limited to 2016 and 2017, he also has to find a successor as director of the CIG. The hardest part may be to increase the annual budget from currently 1.5 Mio Euro to 3 Mio. Euro which he thinks is necessary to run the Center properly, and hopes to get the apropriate slice from the 7'000 Mio annual budget of the french Ministry of Culture.
