News: Video invitation for the chinese exhibition in Essen, Germany

In addition to the previous invitation for the chinese poster and book design exhibition at the Museum Folkwang in Essen, Germany, Jianping He sent me an invitation by video. It shows two people holding up the chinese character for "Writing" (文) and for "image" (图). All pictures were made in Hangzhou, China, seat of the famous China Academy of Art, and Jianping He's home town. Read more.

Liebe Freunde & verehrte Kollegen, ich moechte Euch alle sehr herzlich zur Eroeffnung der Ausstellung "Schriftbilder Bilderschrift - Chinesisches Plakat- und Buchdesign heute" am 2. Juni 2016 um 19.00 Uhr im Museum Folkwang in Essen einladen. Die Ausstellung wird anschliessend bis zum 31. Juli 2016 im Museum Folkwang zu sehen sein. Es handelt sich dabei um die umfassendste Ausstellung des zeitgenoessis= chen, chinesischen Plakat- und Buchdesigns in Deutschland seit vielen Jahren und ich bin sehr gluecklich, dass wir ueber 70 renommierte Kuenstlerinnen und Kuenstler aus Festland China, Macao, Hongkong und Taiwan fuer die Teilnahme gewinnen konnten. Zur Eroeffnung wird auch ein neues Buch erscheinen, in dem wir die ausgestellten Kuenstler mit ihren Werken genauer vorstellen. Ich wuede mich sehr freuen Euch und Eure Freunde zur Eroeffnungsveranstaltung in Essen persoenlich zu begruessen. Subsequently the exhibition will be on display until 31st of July 2016 at the Museum Folkwang. The exhibition is the most comprehensive display of contemporary, Chinese poster- and book design in Germany for many years and I am excited that we could gain the support of more than 70 renowned artists from Mainland China, Macao, Hong Kong and Taiwan who have joined us in the exhibition. On the occasion of the exhibitions opening a new book will also be published presenting the participating artists and their work.
