Posters designed by Sebastian Kubica are inexhaustible source of imagination. He peoples his posters with marvelous creatures appeared in a dream or imagined in his head. He picks the motives precisely and adequately for the subject, as the functionality of a poster is essential in his art. Image and text he creates integrally according to the way he understands the definition of a poster. He sets a highest value on the workshop. Kubica leaves his individual trace in each graphic or poster work. Thanks to that he succeeded in creating his own style easily recognizable in Poland and abroad. Despite the young age he has been awarded at the most prestigious Polish and foreign poster competitions: the Bronze Medal at the International Poster Triennale in Toyama in 2003, the Silver Medal at the Polish Poster Biennale in Katowice in 2003, the Bronze Medal at the International Poster Biennale in Warsaw in 2004 or the Founded Award at the recent Polish Poster Biennale in Katowice, are the most significant examples. Kubica designs many posters to order but he makes also many self-editions as poster art is his passion and a way of transmitting important social messages such as inequality of rights, intolerance, alcoholism, terrorism, war. One of his last social posters is an anti-war billboard, which was posted on the streets of Warsaw last November. Each Kubica's poster is a big event for poster art, enriches our visual perception.
