Uwe Loesch
  • Born 1943 in Dresden, Germany, studied Graphic Design at the Peter-Behrens-Academy Duesseldorf, Germany from 1964 till 1968.
  • His work is present in all important museums and collections such as the Museum of Modern Art New York, the Bibliotheque Nationale Paris, the Library of Congress Washington DC, the Kunstbibliothek Stiftung Preussischer Kulturbesitz Berlin.
  • More than 30 one-man-exhibitions have shown his minimalistic poster design worldwide, for example in Jerusalem, Osaka, Hongkong, Sao Paulo, Hamburg, Paris, Tehran and Tokyo.
  • The numerous awards he was honoured with include two Grand Prix in Lahti, first prize in Fort Collins CO, Gold Medal in Brno and Warsaw, Grand Prix in Essen, and many silver and bronze medals.
  • Uwe Loesch is a member of AGI, TDC New York, ADC Germany, DGPh Germany and DFA Germany.
  • From 1990 to 2008 he was Professor for communication design at the University of Wuppertal, Germany, and has given lectures and workshops worldwide at many academies and universities.
