Les Graphistes Associes, a child of the french group Grapus, centered around Vincent
Perrottet, had an outdoor exhibition on a stretch of about one hundred meter of concrete wall surrounding
le Depot des Subsistences, the main exhibition hall of the festival. Maybe all poster exhibitions
should be outdoors, it would weed out the field a bit. This one would have no problems whatsoever with fresh air.
Back at home, I read the catalogue of their latest exhibition Liquidation totale that I picked up in Chaumont, and was saddend to learn that the title had to be understood literally: As of May 2000, the group of Sylvain Enguehard, Odile Jose, Anne-Marie Latremoliere, Vincent Perrottet and Mathias Schweizer has ceased to exist. But the subtitle of the book is La vie continue. |
