To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Warsaw International Poster Biennale, the program committee decided to abolish the poster competition. I think this was a mistake and a tragedy. Two designers who's opinion I highly respect, Lech Majewski and Jianping He, then convinced me to attend anyway, and I am glad I did. Thanks to the efforts of the Academy of Fine Arts and the polish Grafic Designers Association STGU, the event was a success. However, going to the Poster Museum in Wilanow, almost 40 years after my first visit on a trip that changed my life, was rather painfull.
