Zygmunt Januszewski

was a polish graphic designer, illustrator and caricaturist.

He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw from 1976-1981, finishing with a Ph.D. in fine arts. From 2002 he headed the departement of illustration at the same school.

He frequently contributed illustrations to newspapers like "Der Standard", "Die Presse", "Literatur und Kritik", "Danubius", "Sueddeutsche Zeitung", "Die Zeit", "Die Welt", "Neue Zuercher Zeitung", "The Guardian", "Gazeta Wyborcza", "Rzeczpospolita", "Courier International "and" Le Monde", and made posters for the theaters in St. Gallen (CH) and Bonn (DE).

Januszewski died after a long fight with cancer.
