Julian Palka, a leading figure of the polish school of posters of the 1950's has died in Warsaw (PL) after a long illness.
Graduating from the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw in 1951, he later became a colleague of Henryk Tomaszewski
at the same school. He won a gold medal at the International Poster Biennale Warsaw in 1968 for a poster in memory of the victims
of the Auschwitz concentration camps, and was a member of the Alliance Graphique Internationale AGI.
