Jury Protocol
The Organization Committee of the 24th International Biennial of Graphic Design Brno 2010 has nominated the International Jury as follows: Petr Babak, Czech Republic, Karel Martens, the Netherlands, Liza Ramalho, Portugal, Koichi Sato, Japan, Paula Scher, U.S.A, Igor Stanisljevic, Croatia, John Walters, United Kingdom, Alan Zaruba, Czech Republic. Paula Scher, U.S.A., withdrew from the jury due to work overload, and Scott Santoro, USA, accepted the position of jury member. The International Jury consisting of eight members commenced its deliberations on Sunday, June 20, 2010 at 10.00 am. John L. Walters, U. K. was elected chair of the jury, Liza Ramalho, Portugal as the vice-chair. The jury completed its deliberations on Monday, June 21, 2010 at 5 p.m. The Selection Committee selected a total of ca 600 exhibits in the categories A - Posters and B - Corporate identity, promotional and advertising design. The selection comprises 182 designers and creative teams from 32 countries. The International Jury examined the works on display at the Museum of Applied Arts and Governor's Palace of the Moravian Gallery in Brno, Czech Republic. The largest collections are those of the Czech Republic (29 designers and creative teams), Japan (24), Germany (19), Switzerland (15).

International exhibition, Moravian Gallery
The posters in the exhibition were grouped by country, and the main exhibition in the courtyard of the Moravian Gallery showed posters from Czech Republic, France, Japan, Estonia, Iran, Israel and many other countries. |

Laureate exhibition, Moravian Gallery
The Laureate exhibition on the first floor showing the work of the portuguese studio R2: Artur Rebelo and Liza Ramalho, winners of the poster competion in 2006. I visited the exhibition a few hours before the official opening, so Artur and Liza are still arranging the pieces. |
