The preselection jury (Rene Azcuy, Xavier Bermudez, Patricia Hordonez, Alejandro Magallanes, Eduardo Tellez) selected 300 works out of more than 4000 received from 60 different countries. The international jury then selected the following winners who were announced by Xavier Bermudez, Director of the Biennial, on October 25, 2004 at the Museo Franz Mayer in Mexico City: Prize winners Category A: Carteles Culturales 1.
