Winning poster by Anna Demidowicz
For the fifth time the Weltformat Poster Festival has announced a competition for students. The theme: "Visual Scandal". Based on the quote from Raymond Savignac "l’affiche est un scandale visuel" (the poster is a visual scandal), different ways of attracting attention should be explored. As well as receiving prize money of CHF 1500, the winning poster design will be printed and displayed throughout Switzerland courtesy of APG|SGA. From more than 950 submitted competition entries from 450 students, a jury headed by graphic designer Claude Kuhn nominated 20 promising posters for the final. In total, 15 of these are from female graphic designers. The winner was announced during the festival opening.
The Lucerne Poster Festival will run until 4 October 2015.
ABOUT ANNA DEMIDOWICZ
Anna Demidowicz from Poland is a graduate of the Uniwersytet Artystyczny Poznan (University of Arts in Poznan). Her winning work is part of a series of minimalist posters which are all inspired by the phenomenon of hedonism and its dominance in reality. The series examines various areas and levels of human existence, both everyday situations and also universal perspectives.
