Hans Schleger (1898 - 1976), signing as "Zero", was one of the 20th century's most influential poster, advertising and corporate designers. He was born in Germany where he in the early twenties became publicity and set designer for the film producer Karl Hagenbeck. In 1924 he moved to New York where he contributed to "American Modernism". He returned to Berlin for a short time between 1929 and 1932 but permanently settled in England in 1932.
